Finance Focused are a national platform that delivers student-led finance expertise. The team has over 60 students from a diverse background across multiple universities such as UCL, Oxford and LSE that create content to improve their readers understanding of key concepts within the Banking / Finance space.
Brief
Finance Focused had an incredible network of over 4000 young professionals, and were looking at ways to monetise without losing sight of their core purpose; helping improve access to a historically closed-off industry. We were tasked with presenting viable and realistic commercial opportunities that would help this student-led project to grow into a sustainable business.
How we delivered success
Early on it became clear that Finance Focused's strongest asset was their strong content creation within a specialist niche. This level of expertise is in high-demand for certain businesses and sectors, so we helped to establish industry partnerships with these businesses and the content team at Finance Focused. This partnership benefitted all sides, as the clients received high quality blogs, articles and insights, whilst Finance Focused received revenue without having to compromise on their core values by introducing a paywall to their own content.
As a student-led venture, we were nervous to take our first steps into the business world. The DM Wilbury team helped us through this process and continue to offer useful assistance and advice as we continue to find our feet in the corporate world.
